The Wardrobe Audit
Six honest questions for any piece you’re unsure about — not a purge, not a rule. A quick way to tell what’s still earning its place.
Come back to this each season, or any time your closet starts to feel fuller than it feels useful.
Pick one piece you’ve been unsure about. Answer each question about that piece specifically — not your wardrobe in general.
01
Have you worn it in the past year, outside of one specific event?
02
Does it still fit the way it did when it entered your wardrobe?
03
Would you buy it again today, at today’s price?
04
Can you picture at least two outfits you’d wear it in this week?
05
Is it still in good enough condition to wear?
06
Does it still feel like the way you actually want to look?

A Framework, Not a Rule
No single question here is disqualifying on its own. A coat you’ve only worn twice might still be exactly right — if the two times mattered. The point of the audit isn’t to force a decision; it’s to make the decision honest.
Do this with one piece at a time, not your whole closet in an afternoon. The wardrobes that stay useful are the ones edited slowly, a piece at a time, rather than all at once.
